Red Ginger Private Event Policies
We at Red Ginger, pride ourselves on our ability to offer a cuisine that consists of the freshest ingredients. Chef Dan’s greatest wish is that guests of the Lotus Room receive the “Red Ginger experience” regardless of it being an event separate of our main dining room. Having an accurate guest count allows us to order the necessary amount of fresh fish from markets both on the East Coast and Pacific Markets. Having an accurate guest count allows us the opportunity to staff your event appropriately. Having an accurate guest count is crucial to providing you the best of everything that we have to offer.
Guarantee of Guest Count
Food, beverage and add-on item charges based on guest count will be based on the Client’s final guarantee. Final guest counts are due no later than 3 days before the date of the event. If no final guest count is received, we will use the number of guests used in the attached proposal. If the guaranteed guest count should fall below 75% of the proposed guest count, the price per guest may be increased. Red Ginger cannot guarantee the availability of product if the guest count should rise above the proposed guest count without notification. To serve you best, it is imperative that we are always kept abreast of any changes to your final guest count.
Staffing
Our staff will be dressed in the Red Ginger, chocolate uniforms. The addition of a liquor package for beverage service is always accompanied with an additional charge of $100 to schedule a bartender. It is mandatory that a bartender is scheduled for the addition of a liquor bar package.
Deposit & Cancellations
Red Ginger requires a food and beverage minimum cost. The smaller Lotus Room (accommodating up to 12 people comfortably) has a minimum F&B charge of $500 and a $250 deposit. The larger Lotus Room (accommodating up to 40 people comfortably) has a minimum F&B charge of $1000 and a $500 deposit.. The two rooms can be combined (accommodating as many as 48 people comfortably) equaling a minimum F&B charge of $1500.
In the event of a cancelation Red Ginger requires one week advanced notice. If we do not receive this notice in a timely manner, the monetary deposit will be kept and may be applied to a future event. Deposits are nonrefundable if there is a cancelation within 24 hours of the event.
Tax and Gratuity
Red Ginger is required by the State of Michigan to charge a 6% sales tax. In addition to this, Red Ginger opts to charge a prefix gratuity of 20% and a 3% administration fee.
